Digital design with our red rhino - fully code based off our hand drawn painted mural. Translatable to hand drawn pavement art in many variotions and concepts.
Starting from a hand painted artwork, concept expanded to present as a two panel anamorphic illusion. Added animated waterfall and figures for the 4D augmented reality effect which allows attendees to interact with the art that can be digitally printed with AR overlaid and viewable through our screen to share with your video social media.

4D Chalk Art Installations using 3D modeling, Animation with Augmented Reality
Over the winter, we have been working on interesting ways to blend chalk art (streetpainting), 3d modeling, animation, using augmented reality bringing traditional hand drawn or painted art and emerging technologies to our work.
We find these and expanding possibilities exciting as artists and to share with our clients. These are a few of the items we are working with along these lines.

4D Pavement Chalk Art Installations Initiative with 31st Avenue Open Streets in Astoria NY in 2021
During 2021, the community became our 4D canvas and an extended experience bringing street painting art to many who had never seen our art form previously.

4D Pavement Art Installation with Augmented Reality at NASDAQ MarketSite (October 2021)
A corporate project for client Valkyrie Funds, Art for After Hours created a live art installation using pavement chalk art and animated augmented reality hand drawn to blend the traditional art form with the emerging technologies of animation and augmented reality.
The Valkyrie wings appear to move as part of the animated AR along with a horn signaling our dramatic scene.

4D Animated Augmented Reality with 3D Chalk Art by Anthony Cappetto and Art for After Hours in Westfield NJ
Art for After Hours brought a full 4D animated augmented reality driven installation to the community of Westfield NJ using animated dancing characters, our own hand drawn AR overlays, and traditional hand drawn chalk art featuring this 3D party pool and a series of hand drawn chalk vignettes located around the downtown Westfield area. Some images were set up to have an AR component as part of our weeklong project.
We had a great time sharing our excitement about the blending of traditional art and emerging technologies with the visitors who saw and participated ‘diving’ and dancing with the animated, dynamic characters during the event weekend itself.

Community- 3D Street painting/Chalk Art in a New Time
Hello Everyone,
In times past, street painting or chalk art was publicly seen in good as well as uncertain times.
As everyone knows worldwide we are in the times that are uncertain.
We are choosing to work with clients who partner with art, in our case our 3D art and murals to reach virtually, indoors, and in new ways that are safe for all.
Our thoughts are with our community of New York City and our world for an eventual overcoming and someday thriving world with the pandemic behind us all.

3D Street Painting Artwork Used in a National Commercial
Over the last summer, Art for After Hours was asked to create a 3D street painting artwork to be used as part of a nationally presented commercial that is now in the public realm.
Our artwork as always, starts with a hand drawn sketch. Many of them were considered; then after refinements from the team, we came up with this idea and we were underway.
During our session, the sketch became a 3D street painting rendered on the surface in chalk.
The final commercial shoot showed the 3D piece in a view which worked with the Director’s vision for the results desired.
Although our portion was for a split second, we were able to be a part of a commercial with an important message and we are proud to be a part of this project. The production team was great and the project was fun as well.
